How RF Skin Tightening works
RF technology delivers Radio Frequency energy via a handpiece (attached to an IPL or fat cavitation machine) that is slowly rotated over the treatment area, such as the stomach. Doing so transmits radio waves through the upper layers of the skin to the dermis, warming it up to around 40°c. But before you wince in pain at the thought of that kind of heat, you’ll be glad to know that this process doesn’t cause injury to the epidermis – in fact it bypasses it altogether. If anything, a little redness may occur which will disappear not long after treatment.
What happens next
The dermis reacts to the heat in three beneficial ways:
Tissue retraction – Collagen fibres retract, immediately tightening skin. Skin is tauter and more lifted, offering a more youthful appearance.
New collagen production – The formation of new collagen occurs and as we know, collagen is vital for keeping ageing at bay. Healthy, new collagen means suppler skin and improved elasticity.
Invigorated circulation – RF is also great for kick-starting blood and lymphatic flow. This process clears out toxins to enhance the youthful glow.
Treats Eyes, Cheeks, Decollete, Neck, Stomach and MORE.

Yes. As long as your skin is suitable, prepared appropriately and the recommended aftercare instructions are followed.
No. These sort of peels are traditional peels that have more of an ablative effect. The epidermis (upper layers of the skin) is partially or completely removed and the skin will take about 2 weeks to heal.
Clinical Peels actually initiate an exfoliating response which occurs over several days whereby your epidermis is still intact. You may experience some mild pinking but it normally resolves within the hour. What effects should I expect from a peel? Slight sensitivity for the first 3 days and possible
dryness or mild flaking from days 4 to 5. After 1 to 2 weeks the skin will feel smoother more even and brighter.
Normally 3-5 days depending on the type of peel. Sometimes you may experience flaking for up to 7 days.
Yes, there are several types of peels and the milder AHA or Vitamin A, B or C peels are the most suitable for finer skins.
No. It takes at least 3-6 treatments to see a significant change. Depending on the skin condition it can take up to 12 treatments along with ongoing maintenance treatments.
Yes. The exfoliation assists with removing dead skin cell build up that can be clogging and congesting pores.
You may. It is more common for problematic skin types to experience some breakouts after a peel. This is due to the purging of the pores as the skin exfoliates and rejuvenates. Sometimes it has to get worse before it gets better.
Yes. As we age and with sun damage our skin doesn?t exfoliate and renew as efficiently and leads to a build-up that gives the appearance of uneven superficial fine lines and wrinkles. Clinical Peels will speed up the exfoliation process leading to a smoother, more refined
and younger looking skin allowing fresh healthy skin cells to appear.
Deep wrinkles or dynamic lines may be softened somewhat. For the most superior results it is strongly advised to follow a treatment program that includes multiple treatment types.
Yes. They are very effective in reducing superficial hyperpigmentation, sun damage and uneven skin colour and tone. There are several varieties of pigmentation with some very challenging to eradicate. Your skin therapist will advise you on what sort of results to expect. Sun
protection is essential when treating skin discoloration disorders. A sun block will be required during and after the treatment as well as a pigment inhibiting product for ongoing prevention of future hyperpigmentation.
